The Design Process: How CopperSmith Works

What makes CopperSmith stand out from other typical metalwork suppliers is its design process and how it works. The brand collaborates directly with the customer to create the ideal piece for their home or commercial property, striving to build premium products that last.

The brand has a proprietary Configurator tool with 4K renderings to make the design process easier. It offers metals such as brass, zinc, corten, stainless steel, and powder-coated finishes with a range of textures and configurations.

The customer’s involvement is essential during the design process. CopperSmith describes its process as expert-led, with the design team presenting tailored suggestions and a mandatory approval phase. The company also seeks customer approval before sharing photos or stories of completed projects on blogs or social media.

Because of this, CopperSmith can be trusted for high-end residential projects with strict design requirements.

Budget-driven buyers seeking the low-cost or mass-produced products, those wanting in-stock or fast, off-the-shelf items, and buyers unwilling to engage in a guided design and approval process would not be a good fit for CopperSmith.

Pricing

As all products can be customized, there is no set price for each item. Clients can typically expect to pay $3,000–$10,000+ per item, depending on the piece they order and the customization options they select.

CopperSmith is not a cheap option, but, with 700+ 5-star reviews, they claim to deliver higher quality, lower-risk, timeless results. Their pieces are made to last for decades to come.

Shipping and Production Times

Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout based on the shipping destination.

Production and shipping timeframes can differ from piece to piece; they depend on size, finish, and custom options the customer chooses. As a rough estimate:

  • Standard production is 6–8 weeks

  • Priority service is 2–4 weeks

A no-obligation quote is given once the customer has completed the steps on the product page and selected "Get Quote". Clients are then assigned a dedicated sales representative who will contact them directly and provide more accurate production timelines for their specific project.

CopperSmith is not designed for those looking for a fast, low-cost solution. Each piece of metalwork or furniture is handcrafted with care and expertise.
